The SecureAire Family |
|
 |
|
|
In today's connected world, more
and more embedded devices are adopting network connectivity to
provide enhanced functionality, convenient management, and
sophisticated control. Frequently though, it may be inconvenient
or impractical to use a wired network for such connectivity.
However, as untethered computing comes of age and security takes
center-stage in the wireless world, devices unfettered by wires
in various embedded application domains are not far off. New
applications for wireless technologies beyond the standard LAN
setup are fueling the demand for more secure, more standardized
embedded middleware running on standard embedded OSes. Wireless
technologies do not stop at any traditional network boundary, so
security efforts for wireless networks cannot be concentrated at
the boundaries. Instead, security has to be built right into the
device at the protocol layer.
The SecureAire Family provides a range of secure wireless
connectivity options for embedded devices - from thin or fat
Access Point functionality, to 802.11 client-side functionality
and WLAN switch functions. Standards-based and interoperability
tested, SecureAire opens up a wide range of possibilities has
opened up for embedded devices and expanded their connectivity
services. |

ASAP - Air
Secure Access Point |
|
Air Secure Access Point (ASAP) is a comprehensive, secure,
managed embedded access point (AP) software package. It
integrates the latest wireless security technologies
with a flexible driver framework that works with a
variety of 802.11 WLAN devices. Besides providing
full-featured managed AP functionality, ASAP
concurrently supports the many different generations of
802.11 security technology found in today's wireless
networks, from WEP through WPA, up to WPA2/ 802.11i, in
either Personal (Pre-shared Key) or Enterprise (802.1X)
mode.

SecureAire Suplicant |
|
SecureAire Supplicant is a comprehensive embedded 802.11 client (supplicant) software package which
implements IEEE 802.11's supplicant functionality and supports the latest
wireless security standards including Wi-Fi® Protected Access (WPA™) and
WPA2/IEEE 802.11i. The software is designed as a set of modular,
application-agnostic components that deliver Wi-Fi security and
standards-compliance. Besides providing the functionality of a full-fledged
secure 802.11 client, its unique capability lies in its ability to make these
services available to an embedded application in any domain through flexible
APIs and configuration mechanisms, to make secure Wi-Fi connectivity a
convenient add-on to any embedded device. SecureAire Supplicant is
standards-based and can interoperate with other IEEE 802.11 compliant systems
running on any platform or OS.
